Pageant Official — Prejean’s Suit Is Publicity Stunt

TMZ just received the following statement from Miss California USA honcho Keith Lewis, lashing back at the lawsuit Carrie Prejean filed against him this morning for religious discrimination:
“It appears that suits from both sides are now inevitable against the other.
I would guess Carrie sees it as a chance to get publicity for her upcoming book because in the interviews I have seen, she talks about the suit and the book in the same breath.
We have no problem with her selling lots of books – considering in the current situation we could stand to profit from every copy she sells.
For us, it has never been about her beliefs and we have always just wanted to move on.
But it seems like Carrie really has nothing new to talk about or anything new in her life so the impression is she just keeps looking for ways to rehash her position as a victim because of her onstage answer.”

Jasmine Fiore to be Cremated

TMZ has learned that Jasmine Fiore’s remains will be cremated — this according to sources close to Jasmine’s family.
We’re told there will be a memorial service in Las Vegas, but a date hasn’t been scheduled yet.
Sources say Fiore’s ashes will be scattered in Santa Cruz, where she grew up.

Shemar Moore 911 Call — ‘He’s Down Flat’

TMZ has just obtained the 911 call made after “Criminal Minds” actor Shemar Moore was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in L.A. earlier this month.
A witness placed the call about a guy who was “flat on his face” — but he wasn’t sure if the actor was hit or just fell over.

Mel B. Ain’t Scared to Sue for $7 Million

If you wannabe Mel B.’s business partner, you better not allegedly screw her out of a bunch of money … cause she won’t think twice about suing the pants off you.
According to a new lawsuit, Scary Spice and her husband Stephen Belafonte are suing a guy named Dan Catullo for $7 million — after they say a big business deal with him went real sour real fast.
Scary and Stephen claim they tried to join forces with Catullo in 2008, by setting up a company to profit off Scary’s “music, touring, merchandising [and] public appearances.”
The couple claims Catullo not only backed out of the $2 million deal, but that he also defrauded her in a number of ways … including forging Scary’s signature on a financial document.
Scary and Stephen are suing Catullo for $7 million for fraud, breach of contract and a number of other alleged offenses.

Ryan Jenkins’ Dad — My Son Is Innocent

There’s now officially one person on the Ryan Jenkins is innocent bandwagon … his father Dan.
Dan Jenkins sent a letter to the Calgary Herald this weekend, explaining what he believes to be true about the final days of his son’s life.
In the letter, Dan says Ryan told him he and Jasmine had returned to L.A. from San Diego “early Friday evening” (August 14) and that she had “run an errand and had not come back.”
Interestingly enough, cops believe Jasmine was killed sometime Friday morning between the hours of 2:30 AM and 4:30 AM — and that Ryan had dumped her body in Buena Park before ditching her car in West Hollywood on Friday afternoon.
